It’s been how so many years that you have been living in this here old house of yours. You love this old house to bits so there is just no way you are going to be leaving it any time soon, selling it up and moving on to someplace else. Unless of course, there is a golden opportunity or there has been a career development. Or you have gone and won the lotto. H’mm love this old house to bits. As in falling to bits perhaps? Sooner or later, it is bound to happen. Being an old house and all, all its fixtures and fittings, well, they don’t make them like they used to.
Anyhow, the longer the years roll on, the more likely it is going to happen. As the story goes, things start to fall apart. Among all the things in your house that now need tending, is those old, creaking doors of yours. After trying your hand at the hardware store, you wonder to yourself; where to order parts for a door. And for that matter, faucets and rubber washers for your kitchen and bathroom taps.
You thought it was, oh, that so simple. And then you tried your hand at the work. Fixing and turning. Really folks, no matter how handy a DIY homeowner you are, you are no fitter and turner. Not that you need such a tradesman to fix up those things that seem to be falling apart at the seams. Wouldn’t it be better anyhow, to salvage that old pride and lay out the expense and just hire the experts already? Less hassle at the end of the day. And at least the pros know where to find the right parts.
